Design Wall Monday

I haven't posted about what's on the design wall for weeks. Not that much has changed. I've been machine quilting more than piecing. Amanda and I have finished all the Hot Diggity Dog blocks and she is now adding the log cabin type strips to all the blocks when we get to spend time together. You can visit some more wonderful blogger design walls at Patchwork Times.

Secret Surprise Quilt
I finished the quilting on this special project this past week and now I'm working on the binding. I'll post more about this quilt once it's gifted to the special someone. I've hopefully deleted all the text from the signature blocks so it will remain a surprise. It's been fun! :o)

Here is the view from our kitchen sink window looking east and down the property and across the Laguna de Santa Rosa. I spend a lot time washing food and cleaning up after meals and simply gazing and day dreaming out this window.

  1. Really like your plaid dachshunds. There are some very cute dog bone and dog saying prints available in a scale that would work well in the "frames". Doesn't look as if you are limiting yourself to plaids here. What a lovely gift you are creating. I envy your view too bad it wasn't in front of your sewing machine :).

  2. Oh my goodness! I cannot believe the 'coincidence'. My name is Angie also, and I happen to have two daschunds. :D I have had a years-long love affair with wienie dogs AND plaids. Please, can you tell me where to find that wienie dog pattern??? :D It is just too cute---and I can't draw a stick man, so I have to have a pattern. :D

  4. I love those dachshunds. I had one growing up. She was a sweet dog. She had back problems, though. She didn't live very long.
